A Look At Chewable Probiotics For Kids And Some Other Things You Can Choose From

When your child needs to take them, should you give him chewable probiotics for kids, or go for drops, or the drinking straw to deliver them, instead? First off, remember that the term "probiotics" is the scientific name for a good bacteria that helps to calm tummies and aids in digestion. And, if you explain it this way to your kid, chances are you aren't going to be met with enthusiastic compliance.

On the other hand, you can act in a sneakier way, and deliver your child what he needs in "disguise" - by giving him a probiotic in a yummy treat, or letting him drink his milk through a "vitamin soaked" straw. In this way, he will think he is doing something that he decided to do on his own - and not because Mom is insisting. Now, here are a few suggestions on what you might try in order to trick your picky child into taking something that's good for him:

Drops - Especially if your child is of toddler age, probiotics delivered in a fruit flavored drop form is an excellent way to get him the benefits he needs. They come in a bottle, and are given at doses of 5 drops per day, via spoon. Just remember to refrigerate the bottle when you don't need to use it.

Drinking straws - Every child loves to get away with using a straw in his milk or juice at the dinner table. The great thing about these straws is that the bacteria are tucked away inside of them, so every time Junior takes a drink of juice, he also takes a drink of probiotics. This is also a great way to fool an adult who doesn't want to take what is good for him, as well.

Chewable vitamins - This venue for imparting the "good for you" things kids need, continues to be one of the most popular ways in doing so - that's for sure. You can get chewable probiotics in flavors like cherry, lemon and orange - or you can get a bottle that comes in "assorted flavors", and take a different flavor every day. And, interestingly enough, there are some adults who still insist on taking their vitamins in chewable form, to this very day.

So when you are trying to get your child to take bacteria that is good for his tummy, don't forget that some of the different weapons you can choose from include drops, drinking straws, and chewable probiotics for kids. Your child will probably like one of these choices so much, he may just ask for his "treat" early - every day.
