Wacky, Wild And Wicked Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween night, 31 October, falls on a Sunday in 2010. This is great for kids and adults alike because there's a whole weekend to decorate and prepare for your party and the kids' trick or treating escapades around the neighborhood. It's never too early to prepare for this annual festival, so now is a good time to start thinking about some Halloween costume ideas.

Over the past couple of years, Halloween has become even more popular than ever and costumes are not just resorted to spooky outfits. Anything and everything goes, from outrageously funny, ultra scary and, for adults, even kinky and sexy. If last year's event is anything to go by, there's going to be some really creative costumes seen at home parties, themed club nights, and masquerade balls.

For ladies, there are still many popular classics. How about turning yourself into a wicked sexy witch and cast spells on all around you? Or, perhaps be an erotic vampire seductress. Another great alternative is to take on the persona of the sultry Queen of Halloween - Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. This is one that you definitely can't go wrong with, but make sure you look and act the part.

For guys, it seems as though the ever popular vampire will never go out of style. But, why not add something slightly different by giving your outfit a modern twist. You can do this by becoming Bram Stoker's Dracula. For those who don't know much about this character, he was the primeval alpha vampire.

You can get fangs from most novelty stores but you will have to get your ensemble from a costume hire shop. The coat should be long and made of red satin. Find a shirt with a stiff, high collar.

A white-blond wig with hairs that stand straight up should be worn on your head. Make your face pasty with talcum powder and draw red lines around your eyes with your wife or girlfriend's lipstick. Smudge the lipstick to get that really 'dead' look.

For kids, the internet is a great place to find Halloween costume ideas. There are hundreds of websites with really cool suggestions. Dress them up as Hannah Montana, a Ninja, a ghost, a football player, an autumn fairy, or even a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. And, of course, every kid just has to have a cut-out pumpkin for Halloween. Again, you can get ideas for this online. Simply sign-up and you can download some awesome pumpkin patterns straight to your computer.
