Budget Travelling

Global economic crisis has turned all basic needs into a luxury and even traveling which is the only reward from working overtime at work and home seems to be against the budget. This doesnt mean, one should deprive themselves of going on a vacation. Traveling is the best way to run-away from all the stress brought by work, home, and life.

Based on a medical study, humans can only tolerate a certain amount of stress, pressure, and pain from outside factors thus many doctors prescribe patients to take a vacation. A long or even a short travel alone or with companions is enough to get away from all tensions running in your mind and body.

So to prevent overspending, here are some helpful tips you can pack in your bag so you can enjoy the benefits of a relaxing vacation while saving money.

WALK THE WALK. You are not only saving money, but youre saving your health too. Instead of riding a cab on a trip or renting a car, if you chose an accommodation that is near the attractions you want to visit, I suggest you start walking. Besides, its best to take pictures while walking than riding in a car. However, if you chose not to walk, I also recommend rent your own car than pay ridiculous riding fee from airport shuttles.

USE THE HOTEL WISELY. Although the main point of going on a vacation is allowing your mind to rest while checking beautiful sites, enjoying the benefits of your accommodation by staying in place doesnt hurt also. For example, if youre a parent who travels with kids, remember that kids love playing in the water and hotels have the best swimming pools so take advantage of that. Getting sandy at the beach or visiting a nearby museum would also be a cheap way to enjoy the getaway.

RESERVE AHEAD. Making your reservations for the accommodation and plane tickets ahead of time will help you save more money and avoid further stress. Many airlines and hotels offer irresistible discounts and special early-bird deals for customers reserving ahead of time. So reserve two months before your scheduled trips to snag those big discounts and deals online.

BRING WATER. It might seem like added baggage, but bringing your own water can help save a lot of money. Remember that in tourist spots, even these items can be pricey. There are even some destinations where the quality of water may be suspect, and bottled water fetches a premium price for unsuspecting tourists. In contrast, water and sports bottles can be refilled at the hotel or fountain stations while visiting different attractions, saving unneeded expenses and rubbish.

These are just some of the tips you can take with you in your next holiday, so you can save up while cooling down. Although some might be common, dont take those tips for granted because youll never know when youll need them.
