2011 BCS Predictions: 2010 Texas A&M Aggies

The 2010 Texas A&M Aggies may be college football betting longshots to win the Big 12 but that may prove to be a potential bargain as they will be an improved and experienced team this year. In head coach Mike Sherman's second season on the job the Aggies finished in a bowl game which they lost to Georgia 20-44 to finish with a final mark of 6-7 straight up and 6-7 against the spread. While there was the humiliation of a 10-65 loss at Oklahoma there was also their near upset of Texas in a 39-49 loss that went to the end. Online sportsbooks have the Texas A&M Hokies at 100-1 to win in 2011 BCS odds to win the championship, 25-1 to win the Big 12 conference and an over/under regular season win total of 7 OVER (-135).

Sherman is known for his offensive mind and has 7 starters returning to a unit that averaged 33 points per game last year, which was an 8 point improvement. Tim DeRuyter will take over as defensive coordinator for a unit that has 9 starters back and capable of big improvement off of last year's 33 points per game allowed in college football odds. Senior quarterback Jerrod Johnson will pilot the offense after winning 2nd Team All Big 12 honors last year after he threw for 3,579 yards and 30 touchdowns.

The top 3 running backs also return led by sophomore Christine Michael, who averaged 5.1 yards per carry and won Big 12 freshman offensive player of the year honors. Also back is 1st team freshman All American receiver Uzoma Nwachukwu, who had 17.7 yards per catch and 6 touchdowns in 2009. The key to the Aggies season in college football predictions will be improvement on defense and special teams. They catch Oklahoma at home and play at rebuilding Texas, which could be for the Big 12 South Division title.
