Designer Clothing Online or High Street?

When deciding how to buy your designer clothing it can always be a dilemma between shopping on the high street and shopping online. Current market research indicates that more and more people are using the internet to buy their designer clothes online. Is this a trend that will continue or will there always be room for the high street.

No there are many advantages to shopping online.

1/ Cost - You will generally find items cheaper on the internet than in stores due to the fact that the internet gives you greater scope for shopping around. You also save money on parking and fuel costs.

2/ Choice - When shopping online you have a much greater choice of items to choose from. This means you are more likely to get the size you need.

3/ Returns - Online designer shops including mens designer clothes now offer great returns policies. Which means you can buy as much as you like and be confident in returning it having just paid postage and packaging.

Whilst many people still like the idea of buying from high street stores the high street budget shopper certainly prefers online. Customers buying high value clothing still prefer that personal touch.

Over the past few years reports have indicated that the high street is shrinking with the number of independent retailers falling year on year. This could result in a high street looking very similar from one town to the next and yet again limiting the choice available to consumers. Many large retailers have recently went into administration suggesting that even larger business may struggle to justify a high street position.

With technology improving all the time and people becoming more used to armchair shopping we can only assume that the internet shop is here to stay and grow.

Gone are the days of people being unsure about online shopping and its security. With todays technology make sure that your online shop uses a secure method of payment from a well known provider and you cant go wrong. Also make sure you use your credit card to shop online as this are usually covered with an extended level of protection unlike a debit card.
