It was created by Government of Canada to protect Inuit art from counterfeiting. Google the name of the artist. There are not that many Inuit artists in Canada. You should be able to find a bio on the artist on Google, the date the artist was born, the community of residence, international exhibitions. The sculpture should also be signed by the artist on the bottom in Inuktitut (Inuit language) or English. Avoid buying unsigned art unless it's an older carving.
