However, with excess sugar or other yeast enriching foods in their system, the spread of the yeast infection is increased. Sugar is a very important aspect that helps in the increased growth of yeast in the body and what is even more important to note that once a child gets yeast infection, it should be made sure that the amount of sugar in their diets is decreased.

Then again, there are also numerous other treatments that are available to deal with this type of situation. Natural remedies include the application of yogurt, garlic or tea tree oil on the infected area. These remedies are antiseptic and they soothe the intensely painful burning and itching sensation in the infected area.

Also, sometimes the infants can get the infection from the mother and that is why it s very important that not only the mother but also all the people who come in close contact with the infant or the child must observe extra caution in their hygiene habits and if they even have a slight chance of having a yeast infection, they must make sure to not go near the infants or children.
