Travelling to Spain is sure to be a grand experience, even for someone who has absolutely no idea why the country is so famous. Some would simply say that they know about Spain because they won the recent World Cup, others because of the language, and others because they know there is a royal family there.

Spain is an old country; its culture has ingrained itself into civilization throughout history. From literature, to art, to music, all who have been touched by this country will never forget the beauty that it has managed to affect. There is a lot of travelling to Spain tips that have been written and talked about by many. But one thing stands out the most, when travelling to Spain, it would not hurt to learn the language.

Spain and its people are proud of their language. When the people hear that tourists or travellers speak their language, their hearts open and their smiles widen and they welcome each and everyone into their country. What is nice about the Spanish people is that they have breeding and culture bred into their bones. They welcome people from all over the world because they want to share and their culture and show others what riches they have. One of the riches of Spain is food and if you are travelling there it is best to know how to communicate, even if it is just a few phrases. Spanish culture dictates that when someone speaks their language they have to be hospitable.

They will automatically become guides and teachers and will teach the learner the correct way to say the sentences or the questions. In fact, they will make it a point that the language is said correctly. In the process they become fast friends with the tourists. When in a restaurant for example, tourists are surprised when they see members of the family serve the clients and talk to them as if they were long lost friends.

If the traveller makes an attempt to communicate in Spanish, all barriers drop and all attention given to that traveller. Not because of his money or that he is a tourist, but simply because he or she attempted the communication. Obviously the key to the Spanish heart is their language. This can be easily enough achieved by using books or through learning tools on the internet, even software on teaching the Spanish language. And if you as a traveller want to see the real Spain, learning the language will help you experience everything Spanish from a more educated point of view.
