Manila Ocean Park is another great place to go alone or with friends. Travelers who would like to learn about some of the history of Manila can go to Intramuros. It is the oldest district in Manila. Another favorite destination a little outside of the city is Villa Escudero Plantation, which is coconut plantation with a rich history and verdant environment. There are also ferry rides available on the Pasig River for a beautiful view of the city lights in the evening.

The National Museum of the Philippines has a lot of cultural displays are various artifacts. A short boat excursion that many people enjoy is the Corregidor Island Tour, which has many fascinating historical spots to see on it. Another excellent geographical spot to visit is Taal Volcano and Lake. It is a volcano within a lake, which are both inside a larger volcano. Taal is one of the worlds smallest volcanoes. English is spoken widely nearly everywhere. The rainy season runs from June to October, while the hotter months are from November to May.
