San Diego is home to many amazing amusement parks. Knotts Berry Farm is a well known park in America. This park is situated in Buena Vista, California and contains nine stimulating roller coaster rides and four water slides. During Halloween, this park transforms into Knotts Scary Farm and then miraculously in spring, it becomes Knotts Merry Farm. Belmont Park is also a highly recommended amusement park. It forms a vital part of Californias history. One of its most famous rides is the Giant Dipper, a wooden roller coaster that started in 1925. Like Florida, SeaWorld San Diego is also a significant tourist attraction. Being at SeaWorld is similar to being a part of the open ocean because you are encircled with penguins, sharks, dolphins and whales. Commonly known as the happiest place on Earth, Disneyland, California is the second most visited park in the world.

There are many beaches in San Diego scores of them, in fact - so you cannot possibly visit them all while visiting San Diego unless all you do is go to beaches. The park is filled with Spanish architecture, amazing gardens and a clock tower. The San Diego Zoo is also located in Balboa Park and is the best zoo in the country as it has creatures that no other zoo has, make sure to keep a full day to explore this. The Wild Animal Park is a sister park to the San Diego Zoo and covers 1800 acres. Another sight to see is Sea World, home to Shamu, where you can meet and see many aquatic animals. La Jolla is a coastal community where there are beautiful coves and beaches as well as coffee shops and high-end shopping.

The sight of La Jolla brings the song Surfin USA by the Beach Boys to the mind for its high tides for surfing and is perfect when planning a romantic walk, or just snorkeling, fishing, scuba diving, kayaking. If you are looking for amusements, long walks, beach volleyball, dining or relaxation, Mission Beach is your destination. The jewel of the city is Coronado Municipal Beach because it gives the most impressive views, and is a family-friendly beach as well.
