As you get the kids and products set up allow them to take a piece of paper and what the kids can do is dip the leaves in paint and lay them on the paper. This is fun for the kids they can create some fantastic designs.
Something else you think about with the fall is you start thinking about thanksgiving. With that, you think about the corn on the cob and things of that nature. So, one thing that you do is to make a corncob out of construction paper. Instead of drawing in the kernels, you take old buttons that you might have and let the children glue them on the corn cob.
The edible turkey is another fun craft that you can make with kids. All you need are some marshmallows, candy corn, an apple, toothpicks, and raisins. Then you poke about five toothpicks in the apple. You put a few raisins on four of them in a row and a marshmallow on top. Then place one toothpick in front of the row of four. What you do then is put a marshmallow on that one. On that marshmallow, you put two eyes made out of raisins on the marshmallow and make the beak out of the candy corn. There, you have a turkey.
You can even make jewelry. All you need is a little bit of string and some dried macaroni. You can even make it colorful by allowing them to paint the macaroni. This is something that our kids love doing.
These are all things that you can do indoors. This is fun and you will find that many of these are so simple to do so you are not carving out time for clean up as well as a big chunk of time to do. Try them out.
