accident was not his fault, but two passengers(James D. Quistorf and Francis C. Malloy) traveling in the back seat of the Subaru Outback was riding died after hitting his head by a Chevy Blazer 1994. His six-month pregnant wife, Erin E. Wood, sitting in the passenger seat was seriously injured, but survived and is now being treated in hospital.
Jordyn B. Weichert was a 22-year-old driver of the Chevy and caused the collision. Police said that Weichert tried to remove a sweater while driving, pass control Samantha R. Bowling in the passenger seat. Bowling lost control, swerved and crossed the Chevy center line of the road, striking his head in the Subaru. It is believed Weichert was under the influence of drugs.
Although Wood and his back seat passengers died on the spot, both Weichert and bowling alley were only wounded, and the car now face murder charges.
Our thoughts go out to the families of Wood, Quistorf and Malloy. We would like to wish Erin and her child is in the process a speedy recovery.
