If Your Visit The Tropical North Of Australia During September, Be Prepared For Fun

The Tropical North Queensland is filled with wonderful activities all year round with a multitude of festivals and events that can fill your days and evenings with pleasure. It is a bountiful land rich in beauty and adventure and the many festivals of September can help you fill in the gaps between the fine dining and relaxing on the beach. Many of these events are free or relatively inexpensive which makes them an excellent way to spend time while in Australia.

September is a time for fun and with incredible festivals like the Sunwater Burdekin Water Festival and the Port Hinchinbrook Fishing Classic you will find that the fun just doesn't stop. The Water Festival is a week long event that offers a parade and Mardi Gras type festival that kicks off with a festival of unbelievable foods from around the world. The Fishing Classic is a competition that really gets the fisherman out with prizes of about $50,000 cash and trophies in many competitive categories. Both events are great fun for those who want to participate and for those who just want to come out and watch.

Sunferries Magnetic Island Race Week is an incredible five-day event that you will really enjoy if you are in the region during the beginning of September. This event is an annual regatta that takes place in the beautiful Magnetic Island and all races take place from Peppers Blue. This incredible event is a lot of fun with many activities for spectators to participate in the grill.

Cairns is a wonderful city to visit and if you love music and history, then you'll want to be sure and attend the City Reggae Festival. This event is a celebration of 12 hours and takes place in the Aboriginal Cultural Park, which allows you a chance to visit and learn about one of the original cultures of the earth while enjoying the music and Reggae. Three stages will host shows during the long day and will include a variety of groups from Jamaica, New Zealand and Africa, plus some local bands as well. This is a fabulous outdoor event that is fun for the whole family.

The incredible thing about the Tropical North Queensland is that there are always different events and festivals taking place over the region, so if you can not visit during the many festivities in September, do not worry. There are many events in this region throughout the year.
