5 Reasons for Ski Holidays in the Ski Resort of La Plagne France

In our opinion, La Plagne is one of the most modern and family friendly ski resorts in France and we want to tell you why you should think about taking ski holidays in La Plagne!

The ski resort of La Plagne is linked with the famous ski resort of Les Arcs to form the Paradiski ski area. The Paradiski was only formed a few years ago with the new and longest ski telecabine in the French alps, the Vanoise Express. The Vanoise express links La Plagne to Vallandry which is in turn linked with Les Arcs giving a huge skiing area with over 425km of pistes. But there remains the 5 essential questions

1) Is the snow any good?

Oh yeah! La Plagne is a snow sure resort and is situated at about 1,800m putting it right in the middle of the snow zone. At this altitude you can ski through to the end of April quite comfortably and still expect great snow and ski conditions. Thus La Plagne is a great destination for ski holidays.

4) What is the transport in the ski resort like?

Most of La Plagne is designed to be ski to door so perfect for ski holidays, making transport between the five areas that make up La Plagne during the day not really a concern. There are shuttle buses that run until about midnight between the five villages every 15 20 mins.
