Summers in Denver, Colorado is exciting and eventful. The series of these exhilarating events starts off on Memorial Day with the Downtown Denver Arts Festival. Some one hundred twenty five premier artists throughout Colorado will display stunning fine arts and crafts in a wide gamut of media, such as ceramics, glass, jewelry, wood, painting, photography and sculpture.

The largest summer festival in Denver is the Capitol Hill Peoples Fair, held in Civic Center Park. Organized and run by the community volunteers, it is the biggest arts and crafts festival in entire Colorado. Also, there will be around five hundred booths selling unique arts and crafts by both national and international artists, as well as delicious variety of foods. Six stages are set up to provide music and entertainment programs.

The Denver Chalk Art Festival takes place at Larimer Square. Residents and tourists watch over two hundred artists creating colorful and amazing works of art right on the pavement in the Italian-style street painting festivities. Six professional madonnari will be featured, artists specializing in this medium. Italian wine tasting competition, photography contest and a kids corner will be also a fun part of the event.

The Fourth of July holiday weekend brings in the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, one of the summer events in Denver that feature visual, performing and culinary arts at one place. Visitors can talk with some of the two hundred and thirty three artists around the world exhibiting their crafts, fine dining and wines, while enjoying a variety of music and entertainment.

On July 9th to 11th, summer events Denver offers are revving up for more excitement. Denvers City Park hosts the Colorado Black Arts Festival. African-American heritage is proudly showcased with parades, exhibits, bazaars and visual and performing arts programs. Local gospel artists are one of the highlights of the street stages which provide a mixture of music from jazz to reggae to hip hop.

Wrapping up the summer events in Denver is A Taste of Colorado, a popular food festivity that showcases regional cuisine and dining. Visitors can have a taste of delectable creations from many of Colorados favorite restaurants and premier chefs, try new native cuisines, watch and learn from cooking demonstrations, and enjoy live music, arts and crafts, and other vivid attractions at the Civic Center Park.
