Party City Gears Up For Halloween 2010

Halloween is the top sales holiday for America's biggest Halloween costume and party supplies retailer, and in anticipation of this annual retail spike, Party City is hiring up to 10,000 temporary workers.

Temporary jobs include online customer support and store positions like cashier, greeter, roadside character, customer service associate, and stock room associate. Each store employee is trained to help customers find the right costumes, accessories, and Halloween party supplies for their tastes and budgets, and is also taught how to assemble creative themed looks.

There will be many opportunities for temporary store employees to continue working after Halloween, based on the staffing needs of each store.

"The creation of new jobs is critical as the economy continues to recover," said Lisa Laube, President of Party City. "Our efforts to create jobs serve a dual-purpose: To provide people with opportunities to utilize their skills in today's downtrodden job market, and to provide shoppers with exceptional customer service during the busy Halloween season."

Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply online or in person at their local Party City store.

During Halloween, Party City enables its customers to transform from head to toe into a toe into a , whether becoming a classic superhero or a trendy pop star like Lady Gaga. To learn more about Party City's Halloween product lines, please visit the Halloween costumes and accessories page.
