The basic types of Home Insurance

Home Insurance does not exclude those who are renting a house. The policies will differ but the concept is basically the same and you need it. There are different policies under home insurance that will affect different individuals.

If you own a house, the basic home owner's home insurance policy is the one you ought to buy. It covers the house and everything in it, including your personal belongings. It covers disasters such as volcano eruptions, fire, electrical surge damage, riots, lightning, theft, aircraft and other related unforeseen incidents and disasters.

On the other hand if you own a house but then decide to rent it out, then a fire policy will be the right one. The policy covers your building only. The property that is inside the house is not yours. It belongs to the tenant so it is not necessary for you to choose the homeowners policy. It is ideal for any landlord out there.

There is something for the tenants too. As a tenant you are not worried about the house itself, because it is not yours. You need to worry about your belongings and property. The renter's police will be the ideal home insurance policy that you can choose. It will cover theft, fire, and other unforeseen damage to your property.

The condominium policy covers all your property from water damage, snow, falling objects, explosion, wind, fire, vandalism and several other incidents. It also covers most of what the condo company does not cover. Your personal property may include electrical appliances, vanities and all that is yours.

Older homes that have been recognized as historical monuments also have their policy. However, when it comes to this class of homes, the policy differs from the above four in that coverage is only restricted to repairs and certainly not replacement or anything similar.

These are the basic types of home insurance policies that are available to anyone who stays or plans to stay under a roof. The different choices enable an individual to choose what best suits them and each policy will have its different price tag attached to it, but if you are going to select based on pricing, then look for a home insurance provider that will offer you a good deal for the right policy.
