What Makes The UK A Popular Tourist Attraction? by:Christian Wilson

What is it about the UK that makes it such a draw for a lot of people? One of the main reasons has to be that it offers a wide variety of venues and attractions for people to visit. For example there are areas of the UK that are wild and barely inhabited that offer holidays far away from the crowds in the cities. And for those who love the cities you have the likes of Edinburgh, London, York and many others besides to see as well.

There are also plenty of places you can visit just for a day, if you don't want to take a longer break here. Think about the many theme parks you can try out for example. Alton Towers, Legoland and Thorpe Park are just three examples of parks which offer an exciting day out for the whole family.

There are of course some locations that always come out top on lists of the best places to visit in the UK. Places such as Cornwall, the Lake District, Snowdonia and many others are all delightful to see over and over again. If you haven't visited any of these main attractions yet, perhaps now is the time to do so.

There is also an unmistakable sense of history permeating through the whole of the UK. We can look back to Roman times when we visit Bath and the Roman Baths there, and we can look back at London's bloody history when we visit the Tower of London. Every corner of every city hides some amazing secrets about its past, and there is history in every single town and city of the UK, no matter which corner you might be in.

And if you want a seaside holiday the UK can offer you those as well. Some seaside venues are meant more as a day out than anything else, while others are good for a weekend away. Brighton and Blackpool are typical examples, with plenty to see and do in both places.

But perhaps the most important thing to note about the UK and its position as a popular tourist attraction is that it has something to offer every single person. It doesn't really matter whether you enjoy peace and quiet, the busy nature of the cities or an active holiday that really tests your skills and fitness abilities. Whatever you love to do, the UK has at least one place that will fit the bill perfectly for you. All you have to do is to go out and find that place.
