There are also plenty of places you can visit just for a day, if you don't want to take a longer break here. Think about the many theme parks you can try out for example. Alton Towers, Legoland and Thorpe Park are just three examples of parks which offer an exciting day out for the whole family.
There are of course some locations that always come out top on lists of the best places to visit in the UK. Places such as Cornwall, the Lake District, Snowdonia and many others are all delightful to see over and over again.
