And yes, there are a variety of bars and pubs scattered throughout Tokyo, so if you are a reserved individual who just wants to get a couple of beers and a good meal before you go to bed then those are going to be your best option, but if you have the heart of a partier, then welcome to Tokyo. There are literally thousands of nightclubs in Tokyo, and choosing which one to go to is going to be incredibly hard. The best plan is to simply head out from your Tokyo hotel and ask some of the locals where the best nightclub is within your district, or you can simply ask around at the various Tokyo hotels and find out where the best foreign-friendly nightclubs are located. There are a variety of Western themed Japanese nightclubs in Tokyo which are favourites with expats and tourists alike, but there are also plenty of traditional nightclubs where you can rub shoulders with some of the locals. Keep in mind that nightclubs in Tokyo are never offered at premium, but etiquette will depend on which type of club you go to. Most clubs will have a cover price that includes a couple of drinks, but pay attention as some of the nightclubs can have extremely expensive cover charges and extremely expensive drinks once you get inside. If in doubt, simply ask in advance. And while you could also choose a hostess club for a more private evening with a companion, the best choice if you want to meet some of the hottest people in the city is to head out to one of the various nightclubs of Tokyo and dance until the sun comes up.
