All in all, there are said to be more than 25,000 products based on this franchise. It is hard to go into a toy store without finding several items that bear the likenesses of the Disney princesses.
The Disney princess line has also been featured on the Disney Cruise line as well as Disney on Ice. It remains a staple of the theme parks, as things like breakfast with the princesses and meet and greets are highly sought-after events. Girls over three can also get made into a princess at several of the parks.
While most Disney princess dolls and Disney princess watches are limited to the princesses officially in the franchise, sometimes characters such as Alice from Alice in Wonderland or Tinkerbell from Peter Pan are included in the merchandising.
