India the land of diverse cultures is rich in all aspects. Due to its geographical location India has large variety of flora and fauna. The tourists come to this peninsular land from all the nooks and corners of the world. The holidays spent in Indian sub-continent are always full of enjoyment they satisfy not only the hunger of your eyes but also entrap your stomach with the delicious dishes. After visiting India one gets an opportunity to have all delicious delicacies which would leave an unforgettable taste. The Indian Restaurants are always prepared to serve before you lavish dining. One can experience here the taste of diversity which would leave you mesmerized. More than 15 cuisines are available in India. The Indian restaurants serve to its customers Thali (plate) which contains wheat breads known as rotis or chapattis, rice, five types of sauces and curd. One can also order for non-vegetarian dishes like chicken, mutton, Biriani, kebabs etc. These days due to the drive of protecting and conserving the animals some of the well known restaurants are preparing large variety of vegetarian dishes.

In India one can get sweet dishes in large variety some well known Indian desserts are Fruit Lassi(yogurt-based drink), Kheer ( rice pudding) curd(mild yogurt). Other sweets like Gulab jamun, Rossogolla, Jalebi are liked by everybody. It is not advisable to may have food from the vendors and hawkers who sell them in open.

One can also find good places for shopping and freaking out in India. There is large variety of things available for the near and dear ones which one can buy and give as gifts. Some most preferred gift items can be bamboo products, sandalwood items, fabrics, bronzes, jute products, musical instruments etc. The tourists must keep away from buying anything that is made up of animal skin. There are vendors who sell the trunks of elephants, one should also restrain from buying it as it may put them into trouble.

Some of the restaurants in the country have license to sell alcohol, so one can visit to such places to have fun during the leisure time. On some particular days the restaurants observe dry day and thus liquor is not serve on these days. Hereby we can see that India can prove to be one of the best holiday spot immense natural beauty, comfortable lodging facilities and mouth watering delicacies.
