How To Find A Real Online Job

When it comes to working online, people have no choice but to quickly learn how to navigate the scams in order to find opportunities that will really work to earn them money. The truth is that there are a handful of legitimate online businesses that people can use to earn money - it is more about figuring out which business is right for you.

First of all, there is working with Specialty Merchandise Companies, or SMC, which consists of getting a membership with a SMC warehouse and creating a web store where you sell these products for a profit.

You will see lots of people online claiming that these jobs are scams because it is difficult to make money with them. That does not make it a scam. As long as the company is upfront about the time, effort, and money you have to put in yourself in order to make any profits, the SMC is not really trying to scam you.

As you search online, another way you will frequently run into for making money using the internet is multi level marketing, or MLM. Multi level marketing is when you receive commissions not only for selling a specific product but also for recruiting people to sell that product as well.

Multi level marketing is very old school, pre internet, but the internet is definitely changing the way things are done. You will see many different people trying to encourage you to get involved with their secret to making money online, but the more research you do, the sooner you find yourself at a MLM company.

A good example of this is Partner with Paul, who eventually gives you info on Herbalife, but there are others for Avon, Mary Kay, etc. These are all well established MLM companies. And this is a way that people like to recruit new members to the MLM company, but remember that the base of MLM is selling a product, and if you are not interested in that, than it is probably not the best opportunity for you.

Finally, there is basic telecommuting, which is working a traditional office style job from home. Telecommuting does not have the strategy of SMC or MLM, but it is probably the number one type of job that people are seeking when searching online, and the thing they are least likely to find.

Like when you go to the Partner with Paul website but end up with Herbalife, you will go to many websites that are supposed to lead you to real telecommuting job opportunities, but you will end up with an internet business opportunity you never wanted.

In order to protect yourself from online scams, you would be better off researching the different types of job opportunities, decide which ones might work for you, then look only for those types of jobs. Do not allow yourself to be dissuaded, or you may regret it.
