Understanding Creative Play with Creative Play Toys

Kids nowadays are more inquisitive and curious about a lot of things that surrounds them. They love to ask about things that are beyond their imagination and understanding. Parents may find it difficult to comprehend their kid's perception and misunderstood them for being naughty and mischievous at times. But little do we know that at a very young age, their thoughts and creativity are slowly building up to reach a whole new level of understanding.

Experts say that it is better to train and develop a child's creativeness even at a very young age. Preschoolers and toddlers are becoming more aware of their environment and tend to seek for independence and freedom to express their own feelings and thoughts. This could be done by introducing creative play toys that are guaranteed to teach children arts, crafts and academic skills without the pressure of memorization and gaining academic achievements. It also promotes social interaction with other children to help them cope up with real life situations and build personal gratification and autonomy.

There are various ways to encourage creative play in schools and your very own home. Although creative play could sometimes leave our homes cluttered with papers, paints and clays, we must understand that our children benefit more with these activities aside from the usual lectures they learn from school and at home.

Creative play may vary according to a child's age and understanding. Young children are more interested with arts and crafts such as painting, drawing, cutting and pasting so it is more advisable to provide them with crayons, pencils and water based paints to teach them n how to express their creativity and ingenuity. It also helps them develop their fine motor skills as they get ready to enter school age which requires them to learn simple writing and drawing skills.

On the other hand, preschoolers are more complex when it comes to creative learning. Activities that include basic academic skills like reading, counting and identifying basic shapes and sizes are recommended to enhance their thinking process and skills.

Creative play toys such as modeling clays, dough, craft kits and easel tables allows young children and toddlers to become more resourceful and innovative. Blocks and puzzles are also great in giving your child's imagination a boost when it comes to creativity. Allowing them to convey their visions and originality by providing them with unstructured toys and learning materials give them more self confidence and spontaneity.

Play and learning are both part of every child's growth and development. It should be well introduced little by little to help our kid's enjoy and learn the best from both worlds. Creativity promotes learning and supporting our kid's with proper guidance will help them balance and understand the importance of both for their own well being and their future.
