From boutiques and galleries to coffee houses, nightlife, and the biggest slices of pizza in the city, its a funky mix of young and old, hip and traditional.

Though it is primarily home to Latinos and West Africans, the neighborhood is brimming with people of many backgrounds. With its outdoor murals, funky shops and ethnic restaurants, it's a great place to find ethnic restaurants and with its mix of nationalities. Adams-Morgan is easily one of the most interesting and cosmopolitan neighborhoods in the city. The cultural diversity is evident in every business, from its quirky shops and offbeat bars and clubs like Madams Organ to hotels near Adams-Morgan. With over 90 bars and restaurants, the neighborhood easily competes with other popular DC hot spots like Georgetown and Dupont Circle.

The diversity is also evident in the menus of the restaurants, which range from Ethiopian to Salvardoran cuisine. Visitors will also find hip bars and clubs, unusual shops and grocery stores, but it is the nightlife and dining scene that attracts most tourists. A mix of new immigrants, young urban professionals and intellectuals enjoy living in this neighborhood's historic 19th-century apartment buildings and row houses. Autumn visitors are in for a special treat, as the neighborhood hosts the Adams Morgan Day Festival the second Sunday of every September. This expansive multicultural street celebration features a sampling of all the neighborhood has to offer, from live music and food to crafts booths. Adams-Morgan is also the home to Farmers Market, a 30-year Saturday fixture in the neighborhood, with local growers offering fresh, organically grown produce and herbs; baked and canned goods; cheeses; cold-pressed apple juice and fresh flowers.
