Will My Courier Pickup A Package On A Holiday?

Most businesses don't operate on the holidays. However, for every large group of businesses that shut down during major holidays, there are always going to be a few that remain open. These businesses might have need of a courier company on a holiday just like they do every other day of the year. It is in order to meet that need that more and more companies in the Chicago courier business do offer some form of service on the major holidays.

In fact, almost every courier company is going to have some kind of service that you can access on a holiday. The difference between the services which are available though can range from affecting exactly what kinds of courier services you can obtain, to how much you are going to be expected to pay for that service. The two main types of holiday services offered are those offered by courier companies which are not open on the holidays, but have a special service if you require it to help with holiday deliveries, and those which are already open on these days.

Regular courier companies aren't open on holidays. However, they still want to do everything that they can to keep their customers satisfied. One important part of doing this is making sure that their customers can get service whenever they need it. When a courier company is closed, they still typically have an emergency number that a customer can call to get service after hours or on holidays from an on call courier.

A 24 hour courier on the other hand is always open. They will not have to call in a special driver or have you call a special line in order to get service on a holiday. Instead, they will be open every day of the year providing you with the same services no matter which holiday it is.

When you order holiday service from a courier company that does not offer 24 hour service, there can sometimes be heavy fees and surcharges associated with that service. That is not to say that a 24 hour company might not charge a premium for holiday service as well, but their rates may be more reasonable because they will already have drivers working. When a company has to bring someone in from on call to make a single delivery it is going to cost them more, which is why the prices may be higher.
