subject: Christmas is just around the corner… [print this page] As ever September seems to signal the beginning of Christmas. Supermarkets slowly start to fill their shelves with festive chocolates and sweets and we know it won't be long until the decorations come out too.
It will only really hit you though when the Christmas songs begin playing though and they are even being played earlier and earlier each year.
The event is built up for so long that when Christmas finally arrives it all seems as though it is a bit of a let-down
We begin by planning where will we spend the big day then we slowly start to plan our Christmas shopping expeditions, and here I mean expedition'! We wrap our presents, decorate our houses (some more that others) and then we look forward to our office Christmas party's and I guess that there are many people who don't look forward to them too
Work Christmas parties are funny old things some companies really push the boat out and lay on a huge festive bash where colleagues drink far too much and the night often ends in scandal, whilst other companies lay on a few buffet' snacks and staff members sit around looking glum with their cheap paper party hats on wishing away every second.
Other companies will use Christmas as an opportunity to plan a fun teambuilding event to try and boost morale and relationships between staff.
Anyway the only thing that is certain is that Christmas is slowly creeping upon us, and soon you won't be able to avoid itit's a good job I love it!
