Your child's protection cannot have a price tag on it

Your child's protection cannot have a price tag on it. School should be a right of protection. However, bullying in school is out of control. Bullying is characterized by repeated, unprovoked harassment of another individual in which that individual has difficulty defending them self. Bullying is broken down into 5 categories along a continuum of involvement: bullies, victims, bully-victims, bystanders, and not involved with bullying. But one out of every three children is bullied sometime during the school years. Physical bullying increases steadily through elementary school, reaching its peak at middle school before declining in high school. A simple DVD can be a child's protection against bullies.

Keep in mind, the bullied child is not at fault. Mediation-based approaches tend to imply that both parties are partly to blame. We risk further victimization or control of the target. Never ask children to work things out on their own. Bullying is not simple conflicts between children. Bullying is aggressive behavior that is intentional and that involves an imbalance of power or strength. And most often it is repeated. Your child has the right to confidence and self protection. A simple DVD can show your child how to protect himself with street smarts and improvised items. The Fighting Mindset DVD - Ben Cooleyteaches confidence in reacting to a surprise. It is the surprise that can defeat you if you don't know how to deal with it. Bennie gives you special skills that not only prepare you to respond to a surprise attack - but you'll know how to take control over the situation in the blink of an eye! This is a simple child safety product that provides the confidence for your child. This quick video tutorial can provide ease of mind and allow your child to focus on school and not the bully. It will provide a comfort in knowing that he is in control and may even allow him to help another victim. It also can alleviate the anguish that you feel as a parent. No one wants their child to fight, but arming your middle school or teenage child, especially a girl, the skills to combat any type of physical confrontation is a good thing to do as a parent.

These same skills can be used throughout your child's life. But it is important to learn this earlier rather than later. Bullying can result in anxiety, depression, behavior problems and poor academic performance. No one wants their child to suffer due to a bully. We all want our child to thrive. Teaching your child to recognize the manipulation of a bully, to stop the bully, and to protect themselves against a bully is necessary in today's world. Statistics are sobering on this topic. My daughter was harassed on the internet emotionally and verbally by a boy in her middle school grade. I had to learn the hard way that I failed by assuming that bullying is declining since out schools are talking and preaching about it. I wish someone would have told me about Fighting Mindset DVD - Ben Cooley. It would have saved her the embarrassment of this boy. It would have provided the road to confidence. It would have given my child protection against bullies.
