The fall season is my favorite time of year. It is the one time when the weather outside if perfect and the most comfortable. You don't have to worry about melting in the heat of the sun or freezing in the cold. Rather you can feel the small breeze while the sun hits your face. The only problem to this seemingly perfect weather are the sinus troubles that normally come with it.

Most everyone has to deal with sinus problems. Every once in awhile it might be triggered by other health problems such as the common cold or simply because of the weather change. With it you will experience a stuffy head, runny nose, itchy eyes, and headaches that seem to keep you from being able to do anything. Luckily there are a few things that you might do to address it.

Sleep

The first thing you have to do is to rest. I realize that you have a great deal of homework to do or a project at work that is coming due. Yet, you are not going to be any good to them or for your family if you are not able to think enough to get things accomplished. Go to bed early and seek to take one or two days off to rest. Rest will increase the immune system.

Hot Soup

What better food is able to make you feel better other than soup? It is twice as better if your nana can make it! Make sure to consume it when it is hot. The heat can help to clear your nasal passages, if only a small bit, and will comfort your aching throat.

Hot Steam

Steam is a good way to try to assuage any congestion that you might have within your chest and to lighten the pressure around your sinuses. Boil up some water and put a towel over your head while sitting over the bowl. If this is tricky to do than merely buy a humidifier.

Sinus Irrigation

To help clear the nasal passages you will need to purchase an irrigation system. This is the healthiest way to treat sinuses. Simply follow the instructions and do this each day or until you are feeling better.
