Few realize the quality of accommodations that are available. I think most people are hung up on what they hear about timeshares in the news. Maybe you heard about a company in the timeshare industry that didn't do right for a customer. It's probably true but don't let that stop you from using timeshare rentals to take your family vacation to the next level. A timeshare can offer you more room, more amenities, and take you to Disney, Marriott, and many other high quality resorts.
A timeshare offers a different level of accommodation than a hotel. When you stay in a hotel, you have that one room that serves as a bedroom, living room, and kitchen. Being confined to that one room gets old. Whether you are staying at the hotel for business or pleasure sometimes you just want some space. You just want to spread out and relax and read a book. It's more challenging to do that when everyone is in the same room the whole time. And sleeping adds a new level of complexity when you have different bedtimes and different ages all sleeping in the same room. A timeshare offers you a one bedroom with separate living room as well as two and three bedroom units.
I enjoy eating and I look forward to sampling the local fare when I am in another city or foreign country. If that area is known for seafood, I am eating seafood. If it's the best Italian Food, then I am all about Calamari. But I don't like being forced to eat out every meal of every day of the trip. I really like having a kitchen and refrigerator available to store a breakfast here and there. I like being able to grab a snack from the kitchen rather than order room service. It's more convenient and substantially less money. My timeshare rental always has a kitchen available to me along with a refrigerator and other appliances like blenders for frozen drinks.
I traveled for work for many years so I grew accustomed to staying in hotels. But once I saw how other people stay, I changed my standards. The first time I stayed in a timeshare, I was impressed. It was larger and had a kitchen but it also had amenities like granite countertops, marble floors, balconies or outdoor seating areas and oftentimes a Jacuzzi tub which is a great way to cap the day.
It was after many years that I realized how much better vacationing in a timeshare was than a hotel room. Not only did it offer more room and more amenities but I found them to be substantially lower cost.
