Are Free Online Guitar Lessons Good?

If anybody wanted me to tell them whether they should take free online guitar lessons for beginners my answer will always be NO WAY! Why do I feel this way? Let me to tell you why I am against anyone taking free online guitar lessons.

That is how I first started out. I felt it would be a good idea to just take free lessons at first so I can make out whether it was my thing. But what happened was that I ended up wasting three months of my precious time of playing the incorrect way and in the incorrect order. That means I would of been able to play guitar 3 months earlier! If you can imagine, I was incredibly upset. Can you see in your mind's eye learning beginner guitar for 3 months just to learn you weren't doing it right? Now you have to practically start all over again. That's when I threw in the towel and decided to sign up for structured online guitar lessons for beginners. And boy, was I happy I did! They started me off on the right path straight from the start. I was given an easy to follow lesson plan, certified instructor with a music diploma and what is even better they provided a forum which I use on regular bases. Each time I am confused or am having difficulty with how to learn something I find a solution right away. Actually, this makes me even more upset. My unwillingness to spend money resulted in costing me my precious time. Being aware now that I might have learned how to play guitar and entertain my pals a lot faster helped me to appreciate that some stuff are just worth having to pay for.

At the moment, the lessons I take are from GuitarTricks. They only charge $14.99 monthly but I have capability to stop paying at any time. Their website is very easy to navigate and is great for any newbie. Actually, if you're an absolute newbie, then it's absolutely important you get structured guitar lessons, or you'll end up confused and quit all-together. I've been taking their lessons for three months now and can play many easy songs. It is so much fun to be able to bring my guitar to my friend's house and show off my skills. I am never bored, which never happened before and today I am able to write my very own songs! I am certainly not at the pro level yet and I don't believe I ever will be. I only want to be capable to perform my favorite songs and write my own. And right now I have the skills and resources to do it! I get better and better each day, and if I knew how much joy it would bring me I wouldn't have waited so long to do it.

I hope everyone will understand of how structured online guitar lessons are a great deal more effective than free guitar lessons. But, if you want to throw away your time on getting lost and playing the wrong way, go ahead, take free lessons. It is only time. Right?
