In 2006, he acted in A. Karunakaran Telugu film HAPPY (2006) which had Allu Arjun and Gnelia Douza in the lead roles. In 2010, he was seen in Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi multi starrer Telugu flick VEDAM (2010) in which he played the role of a religious Muslim man living in Hyderabad.
The film also stars Anushka Shetty, Manoj Kumar Manchu, Allu Arjun, Lekha Washington and Deeksha Seth. This dramatic film was a liked by the audience and the critics. he was also seen in the bilingual (tamil and telugu) komaram puli (2010) directed by surya s.j. the cast also has pawan kalyan, girish karnad, nasser, charan raj and nikeesha patel.
Manoj bajpayee will be seen in a film directed by prakash jha again after raajneeti (2010). this film also stars amitabh bachchan and ajay devgan and is called aarakshan.
He will also be seen in anurag kashyap gangs of wasseypur. nawazuddin siddiqui, piyush mishra and shabana azmi also star in this film.
In 2005, manoj bajpayee married neha, a bollywood actress, who real name is shabana raza. she has done films like kareeb (1998), hogi pyaar ki jeet (1999), fiza (2000), rahul (2001), ehsaas: the feeling (2001), kranti (2002), muskaan (2004) and koi mere dil mein hai (2005). She is supposed to make a comeback in Sanjay Gupta ALIBAUG. The couple is expecting their first child soon.
According to a rumor, Manoj Bajpayee was married to a girl from Bihar whom he left after two months. Then he came to Mumbai to pursue a career in films. Apparently, he divorced his first wife later.
Manoj bajpayee won his first award for his brilliant performance in the cult film satya (1998) the filmfare award for best supporting actor. He won the filmfare award for best actor critics in the year 2000 for his performance in shool (1999).
He was nominated for Filmfare Awards for Best Performance in a Negative Role for AKS (2001) and ROAD (2002) in the years 2002 and 2003 respectively. He was also nominated for Filmfare Awards in the year 2004 for Best Supporting Actor in the film Loc: kargil (2003).
He won the National Award in the Best Supporting Actor category for Satya (1998) in the year 1999. He won the National Award again in 2004 in the Special Jury Award category for Pinjar: beyond boundaries (2003).
