By converting Consumer Union's reliability ratings of "Much Better than Average," "Better than Average," "Average," "Worse than Average," and "Much Worse than Average" to grade points 4, 3, 2, 1, and 0, respectively, for each model year of each pickup providing the necessary data, a 2010 Pickup Reliability Grade Point Average may be obtained for age ranges 0-to-4 years, 2-to-6 years, 4-to-8 years, and 6-to-10 years. These Reliability GPAs provide a multi-year reliability summary for each pickup truck with sufficient data.
