When Buying Vehicle Insurance

When buying a car I know you have to have car insurance before you drive up but does that necessarliy means they want know you have it but do they let you drive off the lot first or do you give the dealership the insurance money!?/

They will require proof of insurance before you take the car. Your agent can fax them the proof. Proof of insurance must be presented to the dealer before you can get your car. The dealership offers you insurance when you are purchasing the car. So you will have to give the dealership the insurance money.

We are traveling around New Zealand for around 9 months and was wondering which is the best vehicle insurance we can get. What is the best car insurance for a traveler? Hi, me and my partner just bought a car in Auckland.

Go in any bank in Auckland and ask for the best possible deal. And if you car is not really new you could go for the cheapest option, which is a 3rd party only insurance. Have a great time in NZ! Good day! When I arrived to New Zealand and bought my van in Christchurch, one of the banks offered me quite a good deal with the auto insurance. However, when I had an accident they refused to pay for the damage I caused to another car because I'm not a New Zealand resident. I was very disappointed they did not mention anything about it when I purchased the insurance.

I am in Indiana. I have never had my own car insurance, always being on my mom's plan while in high school and college. What car insurance should I get? I am about to purchase a 1997 Volvo 850R sedan from a private individual.

They gave me the best price and its very easy to make your payment online. Good luck! Allstates. When I shopped around for my insurance, I got the best rate from Unitrin Direct. One point to remember: your rates are based on what group you fall into. Single males under age 25 pay the highest premiums because that group has the highest risk. Keep your clean driving record with no tickets or violations - that will keep your premiums steady. Go for a reputable firm (Allstate, State Farm, Geico, etc) and avoid the "Billy Bob Insurance and Lawn Care" firms, even if their rates are lower.

My car turned into a giant robot and damaged my house - goes on homeowners or automotive insurance? Saw the movie 'Transformers' and this is what occurred to me during a particular scene, thought it might be fun for the insurance folks to debate (apologies if you find it too spammy)

Read your homeowners policy - it may say damage done by insured vehicle is excluded - regardless if aliens took it over so file claim with auto policy - don't know if possession by aliens is a covered loss though. Because it's the house got damaged, not the transformers. Home owner insurance.

I want to get my drivers license but due to the economic crisis my parents aren't able to pay every month to have me on their car insurance. Can a family friend put me on their car insurance? So I live in the state of california. I have had my learners permit for more than six months now.

I believe it is legal as long as you have insurance on the car you are driving then you should be perfectly fine. So why don't you get a job and pay for your own insurance? That's what I did. I'm not so sure the friend can add you to their insurance. That could be considered fraud.
