Do You Look Like Your Dog?

Do you look like your dog, or your cat, hamster, or reptile? Probably not, but some people do. Do you use curly hair products on your dog to give him a little more body and bounce to look like your hair? Do you remember the beginning of Disney's 101 Dalmatians? Pongo is looking for a girlfriend for Roger, his owner, and for himself. Each dog looks exactly like its owner. Do people look like their pets?

Veterinarian techs report seeing people all day long who have strong resemblances to their pets. The old saying is that people (or pets) that live together long enough, start to look like each other. Now, I'm not claiming to be an expert on the subject, but the images on Google are pretty telling, maybe it is because we are attracted to animals that have our coloring. Blonde-haired people tend to like blonde pets, dark haired people are drawn to darker hair pets, curly hair likes curly hair, and short relates to short where tall skinny people relate to tall skinny pets.

If you are an athletic person, reason says you may want a pet that can run with you. You would be a thin person attracted to a thin dog bred that can keep up with you. If you are a shorter wiry personality, you may be drawn to Chihuahuas or terriers. The people who seem to look the most like their pets are the dog show people. Have you ever noticed those people who run around the floor with their dogs on television? Those are odd sorts of people, and yes, they do tend to look like their dogs. Is it because they spend so much time together or did they start out looking alike?

These are questions only the universe can answer, but it is an interesting and very funny thing to observe. Check out the Internet, there are many sites that show owners and pets with an uncanny resemblance to each other. If you buy an English Boxer, are you going to end up looking like that? Hope not, but you never can be too sure.

There are many products on the market for your pets if you decide you want to look alike. Better yet, you can use the curly hair products on yourself to look like your poodle, or use straightener products on your poodle so he can look like you! With all the options, it shouldn't be too hard to look like your pet.
