Costa Del Sol Holidays In Torremolinos For Something A Little Brasher

Torremolinos is located in sunny southern Spain's Costa del Sol. It is big and brash and offers a lot of fun for your COSTA DEL SOL HOLIDAYS. This is not the vacation spot to wait for a cultural experience or to find the "Real Spain". Life in Torremolinos in high season is a noisy, fast continuous celebration which just goes on and on.

With about nine miles of sandy beaches, a wide range of water sports, plenty of beach bars, shops and restaurants and a lively night life, the resort attracts people of all ages. Visitors from all over Europe come here in the summer months for a combination of family vacations, holiday parties and a fun gay scene. The city is dominated by high-rise hotels and condominiums but with many green areas in the concrete jungle. More than a thousand species of trees, shrubs and flowers were planted around the city parks offer a welcome respite from the beach and sun.

Back in the 1960s, mass tourism has come to Torremolinos and became one of the largest resorts on the Costa del Sol. If you look hard and you can still find vestiges of a time past when life was slower. In the midst of the largest shopping malls there is still some of the original city of fresh fish bars, even with their own in the centre of the pizza shops, designer boutiques and souvenir shops.

In the old part of town, near the town hall and the Casa de Cultura, there are narrow cobbled streets, balconies decorated with geraniums and small tapas bars give an idea of Spanish life as it still survived in thousands of Andalucian towns inland. The tapas bars are the places to go for delicious fresh snacks: spicy shrimp, mussels, squid and local chorizo sausage at ridiculously low prices which makes a change from fish and chips available at every nearby beach.

Torremolinos has an excellent range of shops and also of good quality, cheap products, leather, jewellery, crafts and gift shops and it supermarkets are filled with these international elements. At the heart of the mall is an attractive pedestrian street lined with small shops and cafes.

Regarding entertainment: well, everything is there in Torremolinos. Beach sports, water sports, golf, tennis and night life which includes everything from upscale clubs and restaurants to sexy late night cabarets and nightclubs. West of down town is the original fisherman's district of La Carihuela where there are some seafood restaurants and a modern mall that stretches all the way to the nearby town of Benalmadena. There are also places for those quiet moments when on your COSTA DEL SOL HOLIDAYS.
