Secrets To Planning A Stress-free Kids Birthday Party

Are you getting ready to plan your next kids birthday party?

Consider these simple ways to make your childs birthday party even more memorable and filled with magic!

In advance of the party:

When it comes to party planning and preparation, involve your child in the process. Some parents are tempted to want to surprise their child. But you will find, by getting your child involved in their birthday party planning, they will be thrilled to lend a hand.

Take it to the next level by letting your child choose and plan the theme. (Magic show themes are my very favorite).

You can have your child assist with the guest list for the birthday party.

Allow your child to pick out items for the party menu.

For party activities, your child can choose the games and more.

Why not even have your child write the invitations themselves or print them out on your computer printer with colorful paper available at many stationery stores.

You'll see your child feel even more special if they get the opportunity to fill the party favor bags, decorate and prepare your home.

So how long should your kids birthday party be?

I suggest keeping the festivities tightly scheduled. You'll find many advantages to keeping your kids party to two hours and keeping the celebration well-planned and structured:

It ensures your child has a great time and memories that last.

It helps prevent your child from becoming over-stimulated.

It keeps your party guests exactly where you want them and doing what you want them to do.

It provides you some piece of mind too.

Considering hiring kids party entertainment? If so, schedule the magician, clown or other type of act for either the first half, or second half of the birthday party, rather than in the middle. If you keep to the two hour party length, then one hour of entertainment will really satisfy your guests and leave the other hour for cake, ice cream and opening presents. If time permits, you could even add a game.

Make certain your kids entertainment is selection is part of the advance planning process too, rather than an afterthought. Good kids party entertainment often books up far in advance. The more advance notice you can provide the better.

I hope these suggestions will help make your event or party a great success and a magical time for all.
