Most people think that chewing gum or refreshing mouthwash will help to get rid of bad breath. Unfortunately it is not true always. It requires cleaning plaque and food debris collected into interdental gaps. There are several ways to clean this gaps and some of them more preferred are interdental brushes, floss and water flows. Amongst these, special brushes are widely used option to clean the gaps into mouth. These brushes are also known as interproxy brushes or proxy brushes. Bad breath can also be resulted in some cases due to food habits and irregular digestive system. So, one should take care for that also.

Poor dental hygiene is the main reason for bad breath. We all have been advised to brush daily twice a day to maintain healthy teeth and gums. However only brushing cannot remove the plaque between the teeth. Normal toothbrush can only clean around 60% of total surface as it is unable to enter the interdental gaps. To clean the food debris and plaque effectively requires some more care. Using interdental brushes, dental floss, water irrigation can clean this portion that generally not reachable by the regular toothbrush. However using interdental brushes are the most hygienic option as flossing can often cause bleeding gums and it is also less effective in cases of wider interdental gaps.

Another reason for bad breath is food habits. If you are fond of meals loaded with meats, onions and garlic the chances are more that you will suffer from bad breath for longer or shorter duration. Such food takes very long time to digest. The aromas of such food are so strong that instead of being absorbed by digestive system, it smells inside out. Person with problems like gastritis, constipation and weak digestion should avoid or limit such food to prevent the bad breath.

Also if you find minor food bits in your teeth more often after taking meal and if you dont like flossing your teeth then get some interdental brushes near you. This can solve the bad breath problems at large.
