India is a geographically rich nation and a wide variety of mammals as well as birds are found here which attract the nature lovers. National parks in India can be one of the best places to be visited, for such people. In these parks you get wonderful flora and fauna which include astonishing plantation, various mammals such as tigers, elephants, rhinos etc. and many species of indigenous & migratory birds.

Some of the national parks which can be discussed in this respect may include Kaziranga National Park, Kanha National Park and Bandhavgarh National Park. A huge variety of mammals and birds are found in these parks.

Kaziranga National Park covers the area of 430-sq-km and is situated on the banks of Brahmputra River in Assam. The major attractions of these parks are Indian Tigers, Indian Elephants and India Rhinos, but many more mammals such as Hog Badgers, Capped Langurs, Indian Bison, Swamp Deer or Barasingha, Wild Boar, Jackal, Wild Buffalo, Pythons, Hog Deer, Sloth Bears, Hoolock Gibbons, Leopard Cats, Jungle Cats, Otters, Hog Badgers, Capped Langurs, Indian Bison, Swamp Deer or Barasingha, Wild Boar, Jackal, Wild Buffalo, Pythons and Monitor Lizards, are also found here.

Kanha National Park is another wildlife sanctuary available in India which is situated in Banjar and Halon valleys in the Mandla / Balghat districts of Madhya Pradesh. It is a perfect place for those who like the bird watching as 175 species of birds are found here. On the other hand, you can witness a large number of tigers in this park. The place has got the significance also for the reason that the forest nearby Kanha has provided the inspiration to famous author Rudyard Kipling for his well-known novel Jungle Book.Bandhavgarh National Park is another sanctuary in India where a large number of tourists visit every year in months of February to June. The park remains closed from 1st July to 31st October. It is located at 197 km away north-east of Jabalpur. The national park belongs to Vindhyan mountain ranges of central India and the highest density of tigers is found here. One can spot about 46 to 52 tigers here now. Nilgai, Chausingha, Chital, Chinkara, Wild Boar and Fox or Jackal are some of the attractions which are liked by the admirers of wildlife. The place is popular most for white tigers which are unquestionably very rare. This park can be visited with full joy on elephant back or four-wheelers.
