subject: Make Chattanooga Weight Loss Your Newest Holiday Tradition [print this page]

The holiday season is always a difficult time of the year for people who are trying to maintain Chattanooga weight loss goals. Many people work all year trying to trim down just to put on the pounds from November to December and set themselves up to make the exact same weight loss resolutions that they made back in January.

If you're trying to enjoy all of your holiday traditions this year without carrying on the tradition of increasing a clothing size, you need to plan ahead. Sometimes the smallest things can make a huge difference when it comes to self control.

One thing that you can do is make sure that you eat a nice healthy breakfast Thanksgiving morning. If you keep yourself on a regular healthy eating schedule instead of starving yourself in preparation for your Thanksgiving feast, you won't be as tempted to eat second and third helpings of everything on the table at dinner.

When you sit down for Thanksgiving dinner, take a look around the table. See which of the irresistible foods you won't have many opportunities to eat throughout the rest of the year.

It's true that probably everything prepared for your feast will taste great, but there's no reason that you have to eat all of your calories for the year in one meal. Most families have plenty of leftovers, so you could eat a few of the foods on Thanksgiving, a few more the next day, and have a great variety of delicious foods for the next week without overeating.

If you notice that your Aunt Ruth prepared one of your favorite foods, and you know you won't be able to have it again anytime soon, by all means scoop yourself up a helping of that. Pick a few foods to eat that you can't live without, and then save the rest for later.

Having conquered Thanksgiving dinner, you have already made a huge step in the right direction when it comes to maintaining your slender waist line this holiday season.

Most of the other obstacles on your path to Chattanooga weight loss will come in the form of snacks and enticing desserts throughout the Christmas season. Don't give in to the peer pressure of friends who act like they will be offended if you don't try their newest recipes.

It's alright to have a little bit of dessert here and there, but don't be afraid to decline a dessert offer if you know that it's going to hinder your progress. Be strong and enjoy all the joy and success that the holiday season has to offer.
