subject: If You Need A Second Job [print this page]

By working 5 days a week I earn just about enough money to get by in life, with prices on everything going up, it is getting difficult to survive on basic wages. A lot of people have a second job to enjoy lifes little luxuries, but I have not been so lucky in finding a part time job.

So instead of wasting time looking for a job, I decided to start my own business, something that will not cost a lot of money. After thinking for days, I thought of selling things on the internet but cannot decide on what to sell and if I should sell it worldwide.

If I only sell in the UK, I probably will not sell many items but if I have a wider selling market then I am more likely to make more money. The only problem I am having is choosing what to sell, as not everything sells very easily.

At first I thought of selling toys but then I realised it is not something that will appeal to everyone, so I changed to small electric goods. Selling mobile phone accessories will be the best idea, as everyone has a mobile phone and it appeals to all different age range.

Once I have all the products I want, I will put it up on my website and as I am willing to go as far as shipping to Hong Kong, I have decided to sell worldwide without any restrictions. Hopefully that will attract the customers and I get to sell a lot of my products.

Many people have said that home businesses have been made much easier with the introduction on online selling platforms such as e-bay and amazon. This is a perfect way to make some extra money. Even if it selling simple things such as old clothes, CDs and other things knocking around your house that you just do not need anymore. Places such as e-bay can be seen as the interactive online boot faire of today, but you as a seller can get the best price likely due to auctions and also you do not have to stand out in the wet and cold to make yourself an extra 20 quid.

Do remember whenever sending things abroad that you get the proof of postage and be paid for the item before you dispatch it. This is key due to the fact that you do not want to be down an item and them not pay for it and also, you do not want to not be able to day you sent the item and not be able to back it up with proof.
