The experience started with a ceremony at The Thistle Hotel in St Albans which was attended by close family members and friends.

For the dress, I went with an open mind and there were a few that I really liked. I went for a really big skirt, all covered in lace with a sweetheart neckline, Katie commented. It was wonderful it was quite a show-stopper, or I like to think so anyway!

The reception followed at The Noke by Thistle Hotel in Chiswell Green, before the happy couple were whisked away to a luxury honeymoon at the Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort in St Lucia.

Katie said: It was a really relaxing time which is what we needed after all the stress of the wedding. It was a really nice resort, right on the beach. The weather was great and we drank a lot of lovely cocktails!

We were so pleased with everything. Everyone did a brilliant job. Our feet have hardly touched the ground since finding out wed won!
