Anxiety Attacks Children – Help Your Child Cope With Anxiety And Panic

Millions of parents all over the world are confronted with anxiety that their children go through, some on a daily basis. Before you get seriously worried, there are factors that can cause anxiety in children, some of which are actually normal.

Young children may be scared of the dark, or then they have to be separated from their parents. In other instances, they may be anxious as a result of a situation that happened in the past, that happened to be traumatic for them.

Here is what you can do to help your child:

Relax children can pick up anxiety in their parents. They may be anxious just because they see you being anxious. Being able to relax will enable you to focus your energies on what your child is going through.

Shift your child's focus if your child is really anxious, try and shift their focus to an activity that they like doing and enjoy. This way, your child will be focusing on something enjoyable and less on their anxious feelings, and this will in turn relax them.

Diet the child's diet can play a major role in their health and how they feel. Try and feed your child foods that will give them the energy for their bodies and the brain, instead of junk foods.

Talk to your child try and find out what is causing your child's anxiety. The child may have a hard time in explaining why they feel the way they do, but having a conversation with your child will help you gain a bit of understanding about their feelings. You can also try getting them to draw you a picture, and you may be able to see how they are feeling.

Do not ignore your child's feelings, because chances are they will not go away. Anxiety is normal in all of us, but if it is causing you to worry and is seriously affecting your child, you need to get them the treatment that they need.
