Jardines Del Rey, A Paradise For Your Cuba Holidays

Key Coco and Key Guillermo are two destinations to consider for your Cuba holidays if you like to enjoy nature tourism. These two places are to the north of the province of Ciego de Avila, which is located in central-eastern Cuba, between the provinces of Sancti Spiritus and Camaguey. These were the keys, along with many others, that in Cuba are known by the name of Jardines del Rey (Gardens of the King), and were baptized by the Spanish between 1513 and 1514, in honor of King Ferdinand.

Both Key Coco and Key Guillermo have white sand beaches, coral reefs and lush forest, home to abundant wildlife with outstanding diverse typical pink flamingos. The International Center of Sports Fishing is in Jardines del Rey. This lovely keys are accessible by air via an international airport, or through a road of 17 km long on the sea that links Key Coco with the national road network of Cuba.

Key Coco, Key Guillermo and Key Paredon Grande are linked by a network of roads which facilitate the direct link between the islands. Key Guillermo Marina offers services of immigration procedures, customs and life on board. This last resort has a hotel infrastructure with installations (5 and 4 stars mainly), in the form of all-inclusive.

For your Cuba holidays in this key, you will have the opportunity of practicing various water sports, an option that is enriched twice by the high degree of conservation of its marine and terrestrial ecosystems.

These heavenly places of entertainment have a variety of birds, which comprises more than 200 species. Nature is therefore conducive to practice also hiking and observing the flora and fauna. Precisely for their natural values, Key Coco and neighboring islands belong to the Buenavista Biosphere Reserve.

And if you like water sports would I also recommend you visiting La Redonda, a lagoon where operates an international center for trout fishing. In Laguna de la Leche you can enjoy the traditional water carnivals, a place that has hosted the world championship Formula speedboats T-1. The province of Ciego de Avila has great natural wealth that will invite you to stay for a long time on Cuba, and then to return at another time.
