Parents at this point can involve children in choosing a destination.

Rock climbing: Climbing is a great skill to teach children, it builds physical strength in them and also teaches them coordination. Climbing is one such activity that can involve the whole family.

Cycling: Children generally love riding bikes. Take a tour of a country by simply enjoying a cycle ride. You can even go for mountain cycling.

Go safari: Going on a safari with family is one of the most rewarding and exciting vacations. It is a great opportunity for kids to learn about large interesting animals.

Essential tips-

*Give each child to carry a backpack small enough for them to carry comfortably. Fill it up with colouring books, crayons and a cuddly toy to keep them busy n the trip, in case they get bore.

*If you are visiting abroad, keep your passports, tickets and other travel documents are all together in one safe place.

*Before booking, check the minimum age required for the adventure holiday. The sport or activity shouldnt be too tough for kids or meant for adults only. Also, ensure you and your teens won't be spending the entire holiday with groups of seven-year-olds.

*Adventure tours arent for faint-hearted, while there are safety issues, but they can be tremendous fun as well. For teenagers it is best as they bored easily.

*Make basic checklist and include - Toiletries for every individual: toothbrush, comb etc as well as soap and shampoo. Personal products - deodorant, sanitary items, dental floss, cosmetics etc..

*Ensure to keep: Sunscreen- before and after-sun car, insect repellent, painkillers and medicines for both children and adults, digital thermometer.
