Fruity St Lucia Holidays At Jade Mountain As Resort Hosts Its 5th Annual Mango Madness Festival This

Travellers booking St Lucia holidays at Jade Mountain this June will have the unique opportunity to take part in the resorts 5th annual Mango Madness Festival which is set to take place between 15th - 18th June 2012.

The event will be hosted by renowned chef and winner of the prestigious James Beard award, Allen Susser. Mr Susser, the author of The Great Mango Book, is considered the foremost authority on this succulent fruit and will be sure to put his expertise to good use showcasing the Caribbean islands diverse range of mango species, On St Lucia, each mango offers a different flavour, texture and colour. Each dictates its own culinary destination noted Susser.

Guests arriving to their St Lucia holidays during the first day of the event will have the opportunity to take part in an in-depth mango chutney workshop on Friday morning.

However, the Mango Madness Festival will officially kick off on the Friday evening with a mango inspired cocktail party where guests can socialise over Mangotinis and Mango Mojitos - what better way to jump start your holidays in St Lucia!

On the following Saturday things are off to an early start as from 10 am to noon participants will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to attend Allen Sussers Mango Madness cooking class.

It wouldnt be a true Mango Madness Festival without the opportunity for holidaymakers to sink their teeth into some delicious mangoes and guests will also be able to do just that with a taste test of a whopping 10 different varieties of this exotic fruit freshly picked from the backyard of what is arguably one of the best St Lucia hotels.

On Saturday night, dubbed Night of 1000 Mangos, holidaymakers will be treated to an unforgettable fine dining experience with a five-course dinner prepared by the talented chef Allen who has been described as the Ponce De Leon of New Florida cooking by The New York Times.

The event will culminate on Sunday with a leisurely water taxi ride to the Jade Mountain Resorts famous estate where guests will be treated to a guided tour of the plantation and a buffet style lunch laden with mango delicacies - the perfect end to what is sure to be a memorable luxury holiday experience in the beautiful Caribbean island of St Lucia.
