A trip to Peru is often seen as a dream come true for many people and a Peru guide would assist much. The fascination of ancient ruins of Machu Picchu in Huayna Picchu, makes it attractive to some. A visit to these ruins is just one of many varied attractions around this country. There are many different tours, but you can set up you own as well.

The area has a rich and colorful history and is steeped in culture. This is a reason to visit this vast historic, cultural and archaeologically rich country. You have low lying areas as well as mountainous areas to visit.

You need to set up an itinerary especially if you are going to visit the area alone. Your travels should have a starting point as well as a place to end if you are going to see all that you intend to see in Peru.

The importance is to know the weather patterns so that you have the best time regarding this. The better time is during April to June or September to November. This is when the weather offers you a good mix. However, this is the busier time as most visitors opt for these times for the better weather conditions. It would therefore be quite busy, but if you do not mind, it is a great time to take the tour.

The tours are for any age group and it is therefore no problem for you to travel to Peru no matter what your age. It is a good idea to be fit as there would be a lot of walking. This does not mean that it is only for the many trails, but you would have to walk most of the time.

For the peak season time, you would have to make your bookings four months ahead of time. This is so that you can get your bookings and be able to prepare yourself for the tour. You do not want to be disappointed and hence it is best to do this.

The packing of your luggage needs to include walking shoes that are comfortable. A pair of hiking boots would serve you well as it will protect your ankles. Make sure that you do not forget you camera, a note pad and a sketchpad. You do need to take money for tips and souvenirs as well.

If your children are going with you, you must be sure that they have an interest in the culture, history and archaeology of other nations. They have to be prepared to know that there is no internet or games for them to play at will. They should also take along their own cameras.

Your Peru guide would be able to take you to the places that you need to see. This could mean your own itinerary or the guide as part of a group.
