Valencia is a coastal city in the country of Spain that makes up a perfect place to spend a nice long weekend in. The city experiences 300 days of sunshine which makes people from all across the world to flock out there. Valencia offers packages for both, the people who wish to relax and for those who believe in adventure. Just make sure to visit the right places if you want to make this trip a cheap and a health one. The places worth visiting in the city are:

LaLonja: Newly renovated, LaLonga is UNESCO heritage site. The place has the same experience as a cathedral. A nice walk through the courtyard full of trees on both sides will make you want to come back again. The whole location is worth the shot especially because the entry is free.

Turia Gardens: These gardens are an outcome of the diversion of the Turia River in the mid 20th century and hence the name. The place now boasts of a number of parks which are lovely to stroll in. One can also have a nice lingering picnic in the area which is very famous among the locals.

Plaza de la Virgen: This plaza is famous for the fountain which looks gorgeous in the lights. People sit around in this area with a drink or a picnic basket to relax. The place also has cathedrals which can be visited at a cost of four Euros. The entry is free on Sundays when the masses are on.

Valencia Museum for Modern Art: If you do have a Sunday in between your travel time, it is best to leave this place for it. This is because there is no queue to stand behind on this day and the modern art can be enjoyed with peace.

Mercado Central: For all the picnics that you might want to have, this is place where everything for your picnic basket can be brought. It is the main vegetable and fruit market in the city. If you eat fish, do not miss out on the lavish sea food that this Spanish city has to offer.

Along with all these places which are known to be tourists' destinations, it is worth the effort to take a walk down the city roads and feasting on the marvels of architecture. The city is full of magnificent places to look at. Visit the theaters and the halls from the outside if not the inside. There are some museums which have free entry on specific days. Find out which ones are free on the days of your travel and pay them a visit. On other days, the cost varies from Euro 2-3.

The city has one of the most romantic places for dining. A three course meal can be brought for less than 10 Euros at various places. There are courtyards to go and catch up with a drink. The nightlife gets hip after 10 and the party goes on till the morning. There are a lot of nightclubs and bars worth visiting.
