Himachal Pradesh will be in the top three states of India in terms of tourism, thanks to the wonderful nature it is blessed with. Manali is a small town of the state that is known across the world tourism aficionados as a sojourn to heaven.

Located 570 kms off the national capital Delhi, the National Highway 21 leads to the destination and there is Bhuntar Airport that is 50 kms away from Manali for the flying visitors. Manali is well connected by road and the Himachal Pradesh Government offers buses to the Manali town

With out any second thought it can be said that visit to the town of Manali will give you holiday of a lifetime; a complete and fulfilled experience. Manali offers one for many attractions to every visitor; for the elderly there are many temples each with a unique aura worth visiting, the Hadimba temple is worth a mention here which is a temple housing Goddess Hadimba who was the mother of Bheem of Mahabharata. The road to the temple is lined by pine and deodar tress and one cannot express the oodles of beauty these tall fauna ooze along the road. The three-tiered temple has become a must visit for everyone. Then there is sulfur spring which is a hot water spring flowing all through the year at the Vashisth Temple. This is within the town and about 2 miles distance from the towns mall road.

The Mall road is a place for shopping connoisseurs and there is one for everyone here at the goodies shops. Van Vihar is a big park that is close to the Mall road and it has a big lake with boating attraction. If visitors arent boating they don the lensmen avatar here. Close to the park there is a Tibetan monastery worth visiting. And all of these attractions fall in the 1.5 miles radius distance in the main town of Manali.

However, the National Highway 21 road that takes to Manali also leads to more fascinating attractions such as Lahoul-Spiti and Leh-Ladakh. Along the way there are many pagoda-styled monasteries strewn are a must visit for a great spiritual retreat.

If you are a no-hurry visitor you can take a trip to Rohtang Pass and enjoy skiing and tobogganing on the snowy mountains. On the way you can check out the Solang valley and enjoy the opportunity of Paragliding for little money. Rohtang Pass leads to Leh-Ladakh and you can enjoy views of Gyphang mountain peaks and Rahalla falls on your way to Ladakh.
