subject: Government Student Grants: More Affordable Education For Mothers [print this page]

Chances are you are not someone born to privilege. You, like millions of Americans, are struggling to pay the bills, barely able to do so, struggling to meet the demands of your financial obligations and stressing. Your job in unfulfilling and you do not have the required degree for either a promotion or that career you dreamed of in your youth. You've considered going back to school to earn your degree, but with the high cost of education, you believe that you will never be able to afford to do so without further sacrificing in order to do so.

Believe it or not, you can afford to return to college and pursue your degree. President Obama having recognized the struggles you face, especially in this economy, has allocated to universities and colleges, funding for scholarships and grants for the sole purpose of making earning a degree in the field of your choice more affordable for low to middle income parents. Scholarships for moms are now available for up to $10,000 per year. There are a number of grants available, as well. Money for these programs never has to be paid back. In addition, more tax credits are now allowed on your tax return. Student loan repayment schedules have been restructured in order to make repayment more affordable. Some loans may be forgiven as well if certain criteria are met.

There is no better time to go to school than now. There are millions of dollars in scholarship money for college students, especially, for moms like you.
