Entrance to Petra city is one-kilometer long fissure through the towering cliffs, "The Siq", provides a dramatic approach and induction to the city. Just walking through the Siq is an experience in itself. The colours and formations of the rocks are dazzling. As you reach the end of the Siq you will catch your first glimpse of Al-Khazneh (Treasury). The narrow winding path through the canyon dramatically opens up to expose the awesome facade of the treasury.
